Repainting Ludington North Breakwater

The Sable Points Lighthouse Keepers Association needs your help for future Ludington North Breakwater Lighthouse restoration efforts!

If you have walked out to the end of the Ludington Pier, taken a trip on the S.S. Badger, or cruised out of the Ludington’s harbor on your boat, you have had a good chance to see the west walls of the breakwater lighthouse. These walls are the first to feel the weathering storms and the Michigan winters. Over time, the consistent storm’s fallout has begun to show, and if left untouched, the deterioration will only become worse and more expensive.

Although the lighthouse does not have a new coat of paint for its anniversary year, at SPLKA we hope the added attention of turning 100 years young will compel our guests and lighthouse fans to contribute.
